On Friday Marysville Getchell will take on Everett at 8:00 PM. Marysville Getchell don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Marysville Getchell ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They dodged a bullet, finishing off Shorewood 28-27. It took five tries, but Marysville Getchell can finally say that they have a win on the road.
Meanwhile, Everett have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their game against Edmonds-Woodway making it six winless games in a row. Everett were dealt a punishing 0-48 defeat at the hands of Edmonds-Woodway. The state rankings had actually given Everett a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Marysville Getchell's win lifted them to 3-5 while Everett's loss dropped them down to 1-7. We'll see if Marysville Getchell's success rolls on or if Everett are able to steal their positive momentum.
