Lake Orion was the  2-0 winner over Adams when they last played one another  back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders on Tuesday. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 While Lake Orion had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-22,  25-21.
 Izzy Lawhorn paced Lake Orion's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lawhorn got some help from  Sarah Traynoff and her 14 assists. Lawhorn was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
Lake Orion's record is now 12-12-1. As for Adams, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-14-1 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lake Orion is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Bloomfield Hills  at 8:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Meanwhile, Adams will  face off against  rival Rochester  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
