Notre Dame Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caitlin Sweeney, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sweeney has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Kraker, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
St. Thomas Aquinas has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Notre Dame Academy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3.
