Baseball Recap: Atlantic Wins Going Away Against Glades Central

While Atlantic put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Glades Central. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Landon Thompson, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Atlantic: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Saij Rolle, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Atlantic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Atlantic's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Glades Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Atlantic will face off against Forest Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Falcons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Glades Central, they will take on Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
