Softball Recap: James Logan Wins Going Away Against Moreau Catholic

James Logan's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Moreau Catholic Mariners with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Nevaeh Hall-Flores was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Gabriella Garcia was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

James Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moreau Catholic only posted an OBP of .316.

James Logan's win bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Moreau Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James Logan will welcome Newark Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Moreau Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mariners are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
