Oak Park-River Forest's loss came about despite a quality game from Taylor Smith, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Hinsdale Central also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Downers Grove North by a score of 58-46. While losing is never fun, Hinsdale Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Downers Grove North is ranked 56th).
Oak Park-River Forest's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.7 points per game. As for Hinsdale Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
