The Santa Fe Chiefs came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against El Rancho by a score of 62-49 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Santa Fe also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, El Rancho still got an impressive performance from Adam Rivas, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Rivas hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Troy Barajas, who scored 16 points.
Santa Fe's victory ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-23. As for El Rancho, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-23 record this season.
Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. El Rancho also has no future games currently scheduled.
