Career Magnet is hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses.
Career Magnet suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Harding by a score of 38-35.
Meanwhile, Mercy waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Lauralton Hall with a sharp 54-33 win. Given Mercy's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Lauralton Hall is ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Career Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mercy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Career Magnet was dealt a bruising 54-18 loss at the hands of Mercy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Career Magnet avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
