The Socastee Braves never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against the Wando Warriors last Friday. They blew past the Warriors, posting a 47-7 victory at home.
Rocco Wojcik had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Wojcik's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Jonathan Goswick made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Socastee's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Wando, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Socastee will head out on the road to face off against Fort Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Dorchester presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Socastee in South Carolina (Fort Dorchester is ranked 25th, while Socastee is ranked 112th). Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
