Heart of the Plains (8 Man) recap September 17, 2013
Tristin Paulsen of Stafford ran for the longest rushing play in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this season against Burrton last week. Paulsen's team bested the Chargers as he sprinted for 62 yards on the play and finished with 159 in all.
Central Christian and Word of Life played the most contested game in the league this week, with Central Christian eventually emerging with a 20-18 victory.
Norwich's dynamic duo of Jacob Norris and Lucas Lohrman proved to be unstoppable against Oxford, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Norris threw for 192 yards and 4 touchdowns and Lohrman had 123 yards receiving. Cale Goebel helped Norwich's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 61 yards.
The Eagles' dynamic duo of Norris and Lohrman proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Dustin Weber was a beast in the backfield as Skyline beat Cunningham.
Norris put up the best numbers in passing as Norwich fell to Oxford.
He went 15-28 with 2 interceptions.
Lohrman was the best receiver in the league this week as Lucas Schroeder's team fell to Shawn Burkes' team.
Weber was the best running back in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 237 yards as the Thunderbirds fell to the Wildcats. Teammate Daniel Hacker added to the ground attack by rushing for 111 yards.
Peyton Yandel provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Barber lost to South Haven. He completed 12 passes for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 210 yards. Yandel's key target this week was Dylan Allison, who caught 6 passes for 86 yards.
Norwich's Norris and Lohrman have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Norris has thrown for 447 yards this season, while Lohrman has 9 catches for 199 yards. Skyline's Weber leads the league in rushing yards with 443.
The Cougars are currently in sixth, while Stafford is in second.
Jeff Lowther's team took down Burrton 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Paulsen during the win.
