Searcy is 1-9 against Greene County Tech since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Searcy Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Searcy sitting on three straight victories and Greene County Tech on 14.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Searcy beat Marion 38-34.
Meanwhile, Greene County Tech didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Valley View on Friday, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory. That's two games straight that Greene County Tech has won by exactly six points.
Greene County Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacey Edrington out in front who scored 14 points. Ava Carter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Searcy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Greene County Tech, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Searcy couldn't quite finish off Greene County Tech in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 80-77. Can Searcy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
