Gabriella Fisher made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Davies Career & Tech let Kylie Robert and Madison Blanchette run wild. Robert went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Blanchette got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits Robert has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Tiana Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Davies Career & Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Classical made easy work of Middletown on Wednesday and carried off a 16-8 victory.
The team relied heavily on Olivia Martins, who got four hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Tavares, who got three hits.
Classical's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Davies Career & Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Davies Career & Tech has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .526. However, it's not like Classical struggles in that department as they've averaged 1.925. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
