The Laton Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Alpaugh with points to spare, taking the game 34-18. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Laton's zero-point performance the game before.
Laton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Greer, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns.
Laton's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Alpaugh, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Laton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alpaugh will be playing in front of their home fans against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Alpaugh in California (Sierra is ranked ninth, while Alpaugh is ranked 68th).
