Baseball Recap: Forbush Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Forbush, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the West Wilkes Blackhawks with a sharp 13-5 victory on Friday. Considering the Falcons have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan McClamrock was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Forbush is undefeated when McClamrock posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Moxley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Forbush's record now sits at 6-2. As for West Wilkes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forbush will challenge North Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Wilkes, they will face off against North Wilkes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Wilkes has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
