The King Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tampa Bay Tech and snuck past 67-65. Winning may never get old, but King sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
King was led to victory by Julien Barnett and Jabriel Hakim. Barnett scored 18 points along with eight rebounds, while Hakim dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Barnett has scored at least 25% of King's points. Another player making a difference was Eric Turner, who scored ten points.
King's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
King won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Spoto at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Spoto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillsborough at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
