Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Peter Robjent and Vann Morrelli Lead Keene Central to Victory

Keene Central won the last time they faced Seton Catholic Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Keene Central Beavers managed a 60-56 win over the Seton Catholic Central Knights. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Beavers.

Keene Central was led to victory by Vann Morrelli and Peter Robjent. Morrelli dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 boards, while Robjent went 10 of 19 on his way to 27 points along with eight assists and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Robjent has scored at least a third of Keene Central's points.

Keene Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seton Catholic Central only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

Despite the loss, Seton Catholic Central had strong showings from Michael Mannix, who went 11 of 25 on his way to 28 points, and Oliver Hughes, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points. The matchup was Mannix's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac LEVINE, who posted four points.

Keene Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Seton Catholic Central, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Keene Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-41 victory against Indian Lake Central on the 18th. As for Seton Catholic Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-35 win against Chazy on the 19th.
