Baseball Recap: Willard Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Willard barely beat Joplin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Willard's fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Joplin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Willard will take on Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Joplin, they will square off against Parkview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
