The Warrensville Heights Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 44 points or more this season. They blew past Maple Heights 61-17 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-4.
Warrensville Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leilani McNeill led the charge by scoring ten points along with five assists and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamarra Thomas, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Warrensville Heights' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Maple Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warrensville Heights will be home for the holidays to greet Lutheran East at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Lutheran East will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Warrensville Heights is ranked 39th). As for Maple Heights, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bedford at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Bedford and Maple Heights are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
