The Tipton Blue Devils put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 67-39 win over Lewis Cass at home. Considering Tipton has won three games by more than 21 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tipton was led to victory by Grady Carpenter and Nolan Swan. Carpenter scored 16 points along with eight assists and three steals, while Swan went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 4 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Swan has scored at least 25% of Tipton's points. Jackson Money was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Despite the loss, Lewis Cass still got an impressive performance from L.j. Hillis, who scored 12 points.
Tipton's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Lewis Cass, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Tipton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Clinton Prairie at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton Prairie knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Tipton likes a good challenge. Lewis Cass will be home for the holidays to greet Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Manchester is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.7 points per game.
