Make it six blowout wins for TERRA Environmental this season. They blew past Sunset 46-21. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point TERRA Environmental had established a 21 point advantage.
TERRA Environmental had a senior duo take command as Shannon Greene dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds and Francesca Rodriguez scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Greene is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Miani Pantaleon, who scored five points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Sunset still got an impressive performance from Bianca Pacheco, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Pacheco is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Torrech, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Sunset smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as TERRA Environmental only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
TERRA Environmental's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Sunset, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.
TERRA Environmental's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Sunset, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully Braddock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday.
