The Dysart Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Vista Grande Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Dysart knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Vista Grande likes a good challenge.
Even though Dysart has not done well against Peoria recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Dysart came out on top against Peoria by a score of 74-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dysart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lamar Anderson, who scored 17 points. Anderson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nigel Anderson, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Vista Grande can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They managed a 45-39 victory over Pueblo. The victory was just what Vista Grande needed coming off of a 77-57 loss in their prior matchup.
Dysart's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Vista Grande, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Dysart against Vista Grande when the teams last played back in February as the team secured a 75-42 win. Does Dysart have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vista Grande turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
