Cornwall Central can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-22 victory over Our Lady of Lourdes on the road. Given Cornwall Central's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Our Lady of Lourdes is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tyler Vanderpool was his usual excellent self, rushing for 321 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 17.8 yards per carry. Vanderpool really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Verswyveld, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Cornwall Central's victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
