In what's become a running theme this season, the Glasgow Dragons gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-28 win over Newark at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Glasgow has posted since December 12, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glasgow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sy'Air Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahsir Robertson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Glasgow's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Newark, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glasgow will challenge Simon Gratz at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Simon Gratz's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for Newark, they will head out on the road to square off against Delcastle Technical at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Delcastle Technical is ranked 36th, while Newark is ranked 51st).
