The Jackson Aggies had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 72-15 win over Fruitdale. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, as Jackson did.
Leading Jackson to victory were Micah Caster and William Joseph Taylor. Caster scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals, while Joseph Taylor scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Keeyun Chapman, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Jackson's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fruitdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Blount at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fruitdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern Choctaw at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
