The St. Francis Spartans's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against Sandburg by a score of 61-49. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for St. Francis' 13-point performance the matchup before.
Riley Austin was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of T?a Rubino, who scored 12 points along with 6 assists.
St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sandburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
St. Francis is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Aurora Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th. As for Sandburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tinley Park at 6:00 p.m.
