Ian Kowal made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Kowal was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Carson Zinnecker and Hunter Morse did most of the damage at the plate: Zinnecker scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-6, while Morse got on base in five of his six plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits Zinnecker has posted since back in April of 2024.
