The Walter Northway Warriors can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-41 win over Tanalian.
Several Lynx players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erik McGee, who scored 17 points. That was a full 41.5% of Tanalian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Fowler, who scored 14 points.
Walter Northway's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tanalian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Walter Northway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tanalian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Holy Rosary Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Holy Rosary Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
