2A District 6 recap October 29, 2013
Episcopal extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 6 this week by beating Northeast, 20-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Knights.
Redemptorist's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Russell Gage has thrown for 595 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Jawaun Sanders has 16 catches for 307 yards. Gage also leads the league in rushing with 802 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Redemptorist takes on Episcopal. The Wolves' offense has scored 164 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Travis Bourgeois' team has allowed only 110 on the year.
A big matchup in 2A District 6 this week will be when Dunham takes on Capitol. The Tigers are in second place, while the Lions are in third place.
Dunham led the league in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Istrouma.
