Sparta Academy was dealt a 71-44 loss at the hands of Patrician Academy. Sparta Academy has struggled against Patrician Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Sam Cook was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Sparta Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Patrician Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Crenshaw Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Crenshaw Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Patrician Academy, they will be playing at home against Wilcox Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wilcox Academy will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
