Jefferson Prep suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Brighton Charter by a score of 53-50. Jefferson Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brighton Charter can attribute much of their success to Jaziel Nunez, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Tyler Potter, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Jefferson Prep dropped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Brighton Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Jefferson Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Sonoran Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brighton Charter, they will head out on the road to square off against Thunderbird Adventist Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
