After flying high against The Habersham School last Tuesday, Coastal HomeSchool came back down to earth. The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bible Baptist Christian Wolves on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-42 back in January.

Despite the loss, Coastal HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leo Sturgess posted 14 points along with eight assists and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Sturgess. Alijah McField was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven boards.
Bible Baptist Christian had a senior duo take command as Stephen Rahming earned ten points in addition to five assists and four steals and Justin Coleman scored 12 points. That's the most points Coleman has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquayvion Gilmore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Coastal HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coastal HomeSchool will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brunswick Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 18th. Bible Baptist Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
