The Sonoma Valley Dragons lost against the Napa Grizzlies back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Sonoma Valley fell just short of Napa by a score of 41-39.
Sonoma Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Matt Jordan, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jordan has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vinny Girish, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Napa was led to victory by Christian Williams and Jayden Quintana. Williams scored 18 points, while Quintana scored 16 points along with five assists.
Sonoma Valley's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Napa, their win bumped their record up to 9-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sonoma Valley will face off against Petaluma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sonoma Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. As for Napa, they will head out on the road to challenge American Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
