In what's become a running theme this season, the Center Roughriders gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 61-37 margin over Kilgore. The win was familiar territory for Center who now have four in a row.
Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tim Johnson out in front who scored 19 points along with two steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Jimmarion (Ja) Smith was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Center has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Kilgore, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.
Center will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carthage at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Center's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 17 matches. As for Kilgore, they will head out on the road to take on Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill is coming into the matchup with five straight victories at home, meaning Kilgore will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
