Onalaska and Holmen are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Hilltoppers will welcome the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Onalaska will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Onalaska and La Crosse Logan had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hilltoppers put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 9-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Hilltoppers, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Sydney Kraus 2028 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, MJ Heit 2028 was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Qita Olson 2025 was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Onalaska hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as La Crosse Logan struck out nine times.

Holmen couldn't beat Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln on Tuesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Vikings lost 17-8 to the Red Raiders. The Vikings have struggled against the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Onalaska's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Holmen, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything went Onalaska's way against Holmen in their previous matchup back in April, as Onalaska made off with a 13-3 victory. Will the Hilltoppers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
