The Brandeis Broncos entered their tilt with the Madison Mavericks with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Brandeis breezed by Madison on the road to the tune of 70-37. That looming 70-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Brandeis yet this season.
Leading Brandeis to victory were Mia Ramos and Rian Forestier. Ramos scored 16 points along with four steals, while Forestier dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Forestier's 24th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daryn Thienpont, who scored eight points.
Madison's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Alejandra Hernandez and Sophia Campa. Hernandez scored ten points, while Campa scored seven points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her.
Brandeis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Madison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
Brandeis will be home for the holidays to greet Johnson at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Johnson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Brandeis is ranked 35th). Madison's road trip will continue as they head out to face Clark at 10:00 a.m. on December 21st. Clark will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
