It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Tuttle Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Weatherford at home to the tune of 48-21. Considering Tuttle has won eight contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
When it comes to explaining why Weatherford lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cj Nickson. Despite the final result, he picked up 112 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tuttle's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.4 points per game. As for Weatherford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Tuttle will take on Wagoner at TBD on Friday. Wagoner will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Weatherford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
