Even though the Plainfield South Cougars have not done well against the Minooka Indians recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Plainfield South walked away with a 65-56 victory over Minooka. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Jazlynn Foster, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Destynia Mcgruder, who scored 13 points.
Plainfield South has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Minooka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
Plainfield South will head out on the road to challenge West Aurora at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Minooka, they will be playing at home against Plainfield East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainfield East is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
