Maine-Endwell extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Elmira Free Academy/Southside, 41-16. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Spartans.
Owego Free Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Morris threw for 178 and one touchdown and Zach House had 86 yards receiving. On the ground Dylan Angulas chipped in 86 yards. Jonathan Ripic helped Owego Free Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 65 yards.
Owego Free Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Morris has thrown for 320 yards and one touchdown this season, while House has seven catches for 152 yards. House leads the league in rushing with 266 yards.
The Indians moved up to 337 from 380 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 4 B Division IV. Owego Free Academy climbed the ranks as a result of a 47-0 win over Susquehanna Valley.
