The Dudley Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Iredell Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dudley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully West Iredell likes a good challenge.
Dudley stacked a tenth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 35-10 margin over Eastern Guilford. Given Dudley's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Eastern Guilford is ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dudley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Attmore II out in front who threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Nasir Newkirk, who picked up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, West Iredell's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 40-7 win over North Iredell. The result was nothing new for West Iredell, who have now won four contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Cj Ferguson was a one-man wrecking crew for West Iredell as he rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Cornelius, who picked up 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Dudley's win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.8 points. As for West Iredell, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
