Softball Recap: South Range Has No Trouble Against Ursuline

While South Range put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Ursuline. The Raiders put the hurt on the Fighting Irish with a sharp 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

South Range is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ursuline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Looking ahead, South Range will venture away from home to face off against Girard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Ursuline, they will host McDonald at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
