The Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors won the last time they faced the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Pensacola Christian Academy blew past the Lions 49-21 at home.
Pensacola Christian Academy was led to victory by Genesis Coker and Lauren Porter. Coker scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Porter dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Porter has scored all season. Leah Adams was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Aletheia Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Katelyn Davis scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Simmons, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Pensacola Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.
Pensacola Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
