The Northern Nash Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Franklinton Rams at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Northern Nash has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Northern Nash earned a 50-40 win over Roanoke Rapids.
Meanwhile, Franklinton waltzed into their contest on Friday with 17 straight wins but they left with 18. They blew past Bunn 59-10 at home. Franklinton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.
Franklinton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikayla Taborn out in front who scored 13 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Taborn grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Rihanna Hunt, who scored six points along with four steals.
Northern Nash's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Franklinton, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home.
Northern Nash was dealt a bruising 52-18 loss at the hands of Franklinton when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Franklinton's Asia Burton, who scored 24 points.
