The Jenks Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Choctaw Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jenks will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Choctaw is ranked sixth).
After a string of eight wins, Jenks' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The contest between Jenks and Broken Arrow wasn't particularly close, with Jenks falling 58-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jenks in their matchups with Broken Arrow: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Choctaw earned a 62-51 win over Ponca City on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Choctaw.
Jenks' defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Choctaw, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Jenks lost to Choctaw on the road by a decisive 56-41 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Jenks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
