The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Steele in their matchups with North Ridgeville: they've now lost nine in a row.
It was another big night for Grace Kingery, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds for North Ridgeville. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kingery has scored at least a third of North Ridgeville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Eldridge, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Steele's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for North Ridgeville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Steele will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Midview at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Midview is ranked 211th, while Steele is ranked 190th). As for North Ridgeville, they will head out on the road to square off against Olmsted Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Olmsted Falls is on a four-game streak of home wins, North Ridgeville a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
