The Tri-State Christian Crusaders lost against the Rising Sun Tigers last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Tri-State Christian fell 51-40 to Rising Sun. While losing is never fun, Tri-State Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Rising Sun is ranked 18th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rising Sun to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Lynch, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Lynch is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Allison Stoudt was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Tri-State Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Rising Sun, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Tri-State Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Elkton at 9:00 a.m. on December 28th. Elkton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Rising Sun, they will head out on the road to face off against Edgewood at 6:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
