 On the hitting side,  Matias De Alba was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those  four  runs gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Zachary Day, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Dwight-Englewood was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elmwood Park only posted a  batting average of  .000.
Dwight-Englewood's win was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-0. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Elmwood Park, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Dwight-Englewood will venture away from home to  take on Bergenfield  at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Elmwood Park, they will welcome Saddle Brook  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
