The Floresville Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The match between Floresville and Victoria East wasn't particularly close, with Floresville falling 64-49. Floresville found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 15 to 3 on offense.
Floresville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kenzie Huron, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amariah Ruiz, who scored 13 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
Kamryn Jackson was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Kk Cleveland was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Floresville has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Victoria East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Floresville will head out on the road to face off against Young Women's Leadership Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Young Women's Leadership Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1211th, while Floresville is ranked 549th). As for Victoria East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Flour Bluff at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Flour Bluff has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
