The St. Patrick Academy Padres's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-37 walloping at the hands of Scituate. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat St. Patrick Academy has suffered since December 20, 2023.
Scituate got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cam Healey out in front who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Healey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Vigeant, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
St. Patrick Academy's loss was their 22nd straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Scituate, their win ended a 17-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Patrick Academy will take on North Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Smithfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Patrick Academy in Rhode Island (North Smithfield is ranked seventh, while St. Patrick Academy is ranked 50th). As for Scituate, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Block Island at 3:30 p.m. on January 28th.
