The Hayden Tigers came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Rangely on Friday as Hayden made off with a 69-49 victory. The victory was just what Hayden needed coming off of a 59-17 defeat in their prior game.
Hayden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cale Howard, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Brown, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
Rangely lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marcos Quintana, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Clay Allred was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Rangely, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
