On Friday Green Forest take on Prairie Grove at 7:00 PM. Green Forest are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Green Forest, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They dodged a bullet last Friday, finishing off West Fork 31-30. Senior Jordan Zepeda, who rushed for 90 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Green Forest's success. In fact, with 14 tackles Zepeda was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the game between Prairie Grove and Pottsville was still a pretty decisive one as Prairie Grove wrapped it up with a 19-0 victory.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-2. Prairie Grove's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Green Forest defensive front that amassed five sacks against West Fork, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
